Vigilante Identities and Talents

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

So I'm trying to build a Vigilante with a friend that wants to TWF (but since we play Society I suggested the Vigilante for skills over the fighter). However my friend thinks that Social Talents only work in the Social Identity and Vigilante Talents only work in the Vigilante Identity. I've seen at least one Social Talent with that limit, but I haven't seen it anywhere else, are they limited or can the character use them in either persona? And in Society is there any reason not to stay in one persona if it can use all it's talents in that one?

Dual Identity says:

Quote:
Most social talents require the vigilante to be in his social identity, but a vigilante who uses vigilante talents in his social identity risks exposing his secret.

and the Vigilante Talent class feature says:

Quote:
If the vigilante uses any of these talents while in his social identity, he must succeed at a Disguise check against the Perception checks of all onlookers

So you can definitely use vigilante talents in social identity.

Quote:
And in Society is there any reason not to stay in one persona if it can use all it's talents in that one?

The intimidate bonus from renown requires you to be in vigilante identity and some of the archetypes will give your vigilante identity some special effects (like Agathiel).

Barring that you can pretty much sit in social forever and be fine.

Social has like everything. Vigilante does not have the social bonuses.
