Monk / Druid multi class Guide

Advice

There use to be a gentleman on these forums who did up a Guide for multi class druid/monk, he hasn't posted anything in years now, perhaps he is gone. My question is, is his Primal Mauler build at the bottom of the guide still work in todays Pathfinder game? or have the rules changed?

This is the guide:

I'm currently at the point where I am a level 2 Druid, looking to hybrid into a Monk now and am seriously considering the build he recommends.

Feral Combat was changed so this build doesn't quite work.

Druid/Monks are still quite strong but you need to play them a bit differently.

Generally monk dip help with AC, Saves and feats. Druid levels with Wild Shape and Spells.

I recommend Unchained Monk to avoid the BAB loss.

I find that Going Str/Wis can make you a very dangerous pouncing monstrosity with lots of buffs and good AC (with barkskin and Mage Armor)

However, this build can also function as a pure Druid wearing armor and not needing the higher wisdom.

My personal favorites are to either use Dex based builds, built around Flurry of Blows using Elemental Shapes to have decent damage but great defenses. Or having fun with smaller Shapes and the high dex. You can check out the Songbird of Doom post to see more on those builds.

Thank you for the prompt reply!

One level of brawler can also be effective.

Ever since that class came out it has been a boon to so many builds.

Scarab Sages

Alternately, a 1-2 level dip into Elemental Ascetic Kineticist can get you bonus damage to all your natural weapon attacks and Wis to AC, if you can fit it into your build.
