One way is to take a level dip in swashbuckler and use the parry as an alternate AC. Another is to take a level dip in exciter spiritualist for their sort-of rage which gives +4 dex & cha (& -2 AC, but that's still a 2 point AC bonus net, with other advantages.)
Another might be to take some reach weapon, probably with the monk quality so you're proficient (e.g. a kusarigama) to try to intercept enemies and take trip AoOs on them before they can attack you. This is the option I'd probably take.
Crane style may be an option for you, though obviously dragon style will appeal given your strength. Combat style master to switch between the two as a free action is getting expensive in feats but might be worthwhile.

The obvious wand of mage armor.
Cloak of the Hedgewizard for 1/day shield spell.
Barkskin as qinggong ki power.
Crane style, while nerfed terribly from what it once was, still is a reasonable bonus to your AC.
Unhindered shield, has a ton of frustrating requirements for a monk, but once you get it its a pretty good defensive AC investment.

If there is a wizard or sorcerer on your team, you can ask for a mage armor. Buy them a pearl of power if you have to,it would be worth it. Fighting defensively is always an option when necessary, too, and with acrobatics and possibly the cautious warrior trait, you are at +4 AC for -4 to attacks. Later on, you can get the quinggong power for barkskin, and if you stick with fighting defensively, osyluth guile can be huge.
Still, early on with those stats you may have to accept that your AC won't be great unless you give a lot for it.
