Unarmed Fighter (Archetype) question

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

Unarmed Fighter (Archetype for the fighter class) is from Ultimate Combat. First listed archetype feature: Weapon and Armor Proficency is where my question is (rest of it makes sense).

Says the fighter is not proficent with medium armor, heavy armor, shields, or tower shields. Says that the fighter is proficent with all monk weapons, even the exotic monk weapons.

Does the Unarmed Fighter (archetype) retain simple and martial weapon proficency? I think the answer is yes, but it also seems to imply 'no' at the same time it says 'yes' in RAW. Can I get a second opinion here?

Since the Proficiencies entry lacks a line stating "This replaces the Fighter's standard weapon and armor proficiencies", it only adds or removes the proficiencies that it lists. So you're right, it'll retain simple and martial weapon proficiency.

Thanks.
