I've searched around and there have been no official answers about the extent to which bracers of archery can function that I can find.
I ask this because although most of us will think "I can just make a custom magic item that does the same effect but for guns"
But a lot of GM's do not allow custom magic items Period and others have very low magic settings.
So the question mainly pertains to whether or not Bracers of Archery work for all ranged weapons or only bows. I found a person who asked if they work with crossbows on another forum and they only had 1 reply with 1 word "No"
So can you guys help me out and let me know what you think.

Only if the firearm counts as a bow! The wording is pretty specific.
It very specifically says "bows". Not even crossbows get the bonus (which is also specifically stated). Guns would also not receive the bonus.
If it said "projectile weapon" instead of bow, it would apply to guns(and crossbows, blowguns, etc) as well, but it doesn't say that.
The bracers specifically call out bows and specifically exclude crossbows.
They're bracers of archery. Why would you think that they would work with anything other than bows?

The reason you don't find anything searching, and only find a simple "NO" when replying to the question of if it works with crossbows, is because this is one of those cases, where the item is pretty much black and white, no room for interpretation.
