A third party class

Advice and Rules Questions

So one of my players wants to play a Vizier from Dreamscarred Press. I've only taken a quick look at them and am still on the fence. I know Dreams cared typically makes decent stuff but how do you all feel about them? More importantly how do you feel about the Vizier. Tell me is it overpowered, underpowered, balenced, are mechanics good, what?

This applies to both Paizo and third-party from all publishers: as a DM, unless if you completely trust your player, you should not allow it into your game if you do not understand all of the rules about it yourself.

I am going look at the class more in depth later tonight but it is always prudent to get a second opinion.

Liberty's Edge

Viziers can be built to do a number of things, but in general are versatile and balanced. They have built in flexibility from day to day but lack any particularly overwhelming tricks. Tier wise, I would place them in tier 3.

I would make sure the player is comfortable in moving essence around and has made a method for quickly referencing their essence allocation and it's effects. Don't want to forget bonuses or scramble to recalculate things. How important this is varies depending on your normal veil loadout and playstyle.
