What do I give up if I use Whirlwind Attack?

Rules Questions

If I use WA it says I "forfeit any bonus or extra attacks granted by other feats, spells or abilities."

So does that mean giving up "bonus attacks or extra attacks" or does that mean giving up "bonuses of any kind, or extra attacks".

If it is the latter, does that mean that I would not be able to use any attack bonus from a bless spell or the weapon focus feat?

It's referring to abilities that allow you to make additional attacks during a turn, such as haste or blessing of fervor.

I agree with the cat. It only refers to bonus attacks, not bonuses of any kind, so you get to retain attack bonuses such as weapon focus and bless.

I concur. The ambiguity would be removed if it read "extra or bonus attacks...".

Would that not include an ability like Sneak Attack? Say a rogue had Whirlwind Attack and made into the middle of a bunch of bad guys undetected and then let loose the whirlwind.

I would still be inclined to allow Sneak Attack dice applied to everyone in that situation. Thoughts?

As long as the conditions for sneak attack applies, then you get sneak attack damage if that is one of your class abilities.

Whirlwind attack simply does not allow those abilities that grant additional attacks (haste, speed enchant, medusa's wrath, two weapon fighting, etc). It does not change any of the normal mechanics of an attack.
