Gnome Evocationist

Advice

I think I want to play an 11th level gnome(for flavors sake) evocationist wizard with the Admixture Subschool. I want to focus him around using Evocation spells that he can freely change the energy damage of for whatever the challenge they face is.

I am open to any ideas regarding multiclassing or archetypes that may give him more damage or whatever.

Because of him being a Wizard, he would also need a familiar and I am free to any ideas of good Familiars (He is gonna be CE btw. Any and all advice will be welcome, thank you!

Just finished a campaign lv1 to 20 as an evil blaster arcanist. Here's a list of some of my shenanigans

Spell Focus, Spell Specialization, Greater Spell Focus are your first feats. After that metamagic like empower spell, quicken spell, and intensify spell. Control metamagic like dazing are really powerful but I'm assuming you just want to kill people. Metamagic cost reduction is your best friend. Spell perfection, magical lineage, staff of the master, etc.

Because of their feat selection blasters are typically 1 trick ponies. Best spells are: Fireball, Battering Blast, and Chain Lightning. Fireball is typically better though Chain Lightning focus pays off lv15+

An exploit wizard can do nicely. You can still get your familiar and adamixture school along with other nice goodies from arcanist like potent magic

Souldrinker PRC 2-4 levels only. Use merciful on your blast spells. Drink their souls to recover all your slots. The math works out that with optimized spell use against opponents that you can take souls from you will typically gain back a few extra soul points than you spend to recover slots. Any extra people you can store in a timeless demiplane. If you are very rich and want to blow money buy a spellstealing sythe and buff them up before storing them. The sythe isn't exactly efficent but it is fun :)

Diabolist prc. Requires you to be NE to take levels in it but you keep the abilities when you shift back. Main focus here is Hellfire which gives a nice damage multiplier against good aligned people

Improved Familiar is a great option. If not a mauler owl makes a pretty amazing mount. When picking an improved familiar you need hands. Everything else is gravy

If you can pick your familiar's feats see if he can get gunsmithing. Planar binding a bunch of little angels. Attach gunpowder. Order angels to go over to enemies and attempt diplomacy(follows their alignment). Fireball

Out of time. Might post more latter

Take the pyromanic race trait. Consider taking one level of sorcerer. If allowed, take Crossblooded red dragon/orc and enjoy +2/die to damage on fire spells and +1/per die on the rest. If not allowed to take crossblooded, go for tattoeed sorcerer with orc bloodline.
Take spell spesialization(fireball), magical lineage(fireball).
Crossblooded:
Level 10/1 you can cast intensified fireballs from 3rd level slot that do 13d6+26+5 damage or 12d6+12+5 if admixtured to something else than fire.
Tattoeed:
Level 10/1 you can cast fireballs for 14d6+14+5 damage.
Spell penetration and greater spell penetration are almost mandatory at this level. With them your spell penetration roll will be d20+18 for the tattooed sorcerer and d20+17 for the crossblooded.
I think tattoeed sorcerer is more flexible than crossblooded as a dip, even though crossblooded usually generates more damage. Tattooed sorcerer also gets a familiar.
I would consider getting improved familiar, with at-will invisibility and fly speed a quasit is a good scout. Too bad his charisma sucks so his UMD is not that great.

groooaaan crossblooded orc/dragon sorceror groooaan. Yes, it's RAW-legal. It's also so, so cheesy.

A souldrinker blaster with Merciful Spell, on the other hand, just made me sit up and take notice. That's clever!

Yeah, its cheesy and a bit boring. Also that -2 to will saves really sucks. That is why I think tattooed is better. But the OP wanted more damage.
In this thread *Khan* demonstrates how to cause 490 force damage at level 20 with battering blast, a level 4 spell.

That Souldrinker stuff is indeed mighty clever!

Here's a multi-blast evoker Admixture wizard using the alchemical reagent rules. There are some options for an evil caster here -- cyphermage / diabolist actually works pretty well. Only goes up to Level 10, but I think you can proceed from there.
