Hello everyone!
Now this thread is about major mind swap. If you're a half elf, the spell paragon surge can give you a feat on the fly. That feat could be: racial heritage.
Now, when you select this feat, you have a whole range of humanoids to share race with, which makes them eligible targets for major mind swap.
Sooo... I was wondering what would be great choices to permanently take over. It would have to be a one time choice, because afterwards, you're that race, no longer half elf or even human.
I'll start off with cloud giant for good con and strength, and their tendency to be either good or evil.
But probably you're a high level psychic (unless you use a scroll), so such a big guy/gal might not be optimal.
What humanoid gems can we think of? :)

Yeah, well, there's that, the traits.
Most of these things are (su) or (ex) powers. And since major mind swap ultimately refers to the possession spell, those are out.
But, I guess that could be talked about with the GM. Because it would be kind of strange if a Strix psychic taking over another Strix would suddenly lose darkvision and flight.
As it stands, though, by RAW, you only get the str, dex, and con. This only gets moon and sun giants high in the list... And trolls, but they're ugly.
It's kind of weird to not get the (ex) powrrs... They kind of come with the body...

Actually, you do get any Ex or Su abilities that function automatically and don't require activation. So if you possess a strix you get their natural darkvision and flight, but if you possess a lycanthrope you can't activate their change shape.
The body retains its Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, hit points, natural abilities, and automatic abilities. A body with extra limbs doesn't allow you to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal. You can't activate the body's extraordinary or supernatural abilities, nor can you cast any of its spells or spell-like abilities.

Any race would do, you just need to make sure they dumped their mentals to max their physicals. Then it's a simple case of showing them something shiny (Will save DC10) long enough to body snatch them.
Now you have your 40 point buy body/mind to show off, you can finally seek your revenge against the school jock who embarrassed you all those years ago.

Thanks, Avoron, for the clarification. That makes trolls much better!
That Gigas has some really epic senses, and that troll has 9 minds! Imagine what a psychic could do with that!
But... Both are amazingly ugly, and very big.
A friend of mine came up with the Adlet. Sucks to be vulnerable to fire, but there are tricks for that. They're medium, look cool, and have great scores! Their shamans have a standard str 22, dex 30, and con 22!
This is a really good one!
Any more? :)
