The Bear Ace of Hearts N The character gains the lycanthrope template, becoming a werebear lycanthrope, and as such, remove disease and heal have no affect on this affliction. Is it natural lycanthrope or afflicted lycanthrope?

My GM ruled it as natural for my psychic bloodline sorcerer. RAW nothing is definitive. There are really only 2 points that you could try to make an argument for or against. On the one hand, it says that remove disease and heal have no effect which leads one to the the natural form of lycanthropy. On the other hand, it says that you "gain" the template, and in the lycanthrope template it distinguishes acquiring the template (afflicted) vs inheriting the template (natural). I'm on the side of calling it a natural form but it is really undefined.

Archives of Nethys has the text as:

Quote:
The Bear: The character gains the lycanthrope template, becoming a werebear (Bestiary 2). He is considered a natural lycanthrope, and as such, cure disease and heal have no affect on this affliction.

I don't have a copy of Artifacts & Legends to confirm it myself, but Archives is better than d20pfsrd at having the direct text more often than not.
