Stay on mount as it climbs

Advice

First off, I apologize if this has already been answered. I tried searching for an older thread on it, but Google fu was not strong enough to locate it. If you have a link to an old thread that answered this, please post the link.

So, the subject says what I want to do. To be more specific, I have a mount that will almost certainly have spider climb or ape walk applied to it on occasion, and I could use suggestions on how to stay in the saddle when the wolf goes sideways or upside down.

Do I just use rope and tie myself into the saddle? Is there a saddle that is designed specifically for this situation?

Using the Ride skill its a DC5 Ride check to 'stay in the saddle' if the mount were to rear up or bolt. If you're going to be on a wall I'd probably make it a DC5 ride check but if you were on a ceiling I'd make it a DC10.

I could kind of see that working for walls, but the ceiling? That's a bit harder to argue/believe.

I'm pretty sure the exotic military saddle has you covered there.

Saddle, Military: This saddle braces the rider, providing a +2 circumstance bonus on Ride checks related to staying in the saddle. If you're knocked unconscious while in a military saddle, you have a 75% chance to stay in the saddle.

We're gonna need a lot of rope.

[Incase the italics don't make it clear, this is a joke post. I'm all for characters gaining the ability to do ridiculous s##%. Clinging unfastened to a ceiling-walking mount might possibly be held off till level 5 in my games, but I'd totally encourage it.]
