Does the weapon property specifically only pertain to melee weapons or can you apply to ranged weapons as well?
Technically it can apply to any weapon according to rules-as-written, but according to developer James Jacobs it's meant for melee weapons only. Also, for the future, the Rules Questions board is going to be a better spot to get these kinds of questions answered. :)
