Aight everyone. I just want to make sure we all get on the same page as far as getting on here first. Once we're good to go (hopefully before the weekend), then we'll go forward creating characters. In the meantime, feel free to go ahead and start thinking about what you would like to play, getting yourself a couple of different ideas. I wouldn't advise creating a solid background to build the character upon just yet, and I'll explain that why later. Either way, for those who are new, I would recommend trying to stick with just the core rule book for now so that way it can help ease up on any possible confusion, and for those with experience, just don't go too crazy that it makes the new people wonder what the hell is going on lol. Just make sure to respond at least so that I know you were able to get on here successfully.
By the way, the link for the complete rules straight out of the books.

Okay. So since I've gotten 4 of you together, I don't want to waste a whole lot of time waiting days on trying to get people's responses. So to start things off, this site is good to host this style of games for a few couple of reasons. One, having tabs to separate roleplaying and side bar conversations or questions makes things a lot easier to navigate. Secondly, the dice code in here seems fairly spot on and isn't entirely one sided for only high or low rolls. And lastly, the ability to have alias, in which you can be able to create different characters. Because you only have up to 10 total messages before the name is permanent, it makes being able to create or have another character ready should circumstances require (hopefully they don't but I'm sure Sarn already has 4 character sheets already filled out lol). Anyways, in order to create an alias, as well as select an avatar, all you have to do is click the 'My Account' link, and then you can hit 'Change Your Avatar' to change it, or 'Create New Alias' to create a new character. And you can hit 'Edit' next to an alias in order to change it's avatar (or name within 10 posts. After 10 it's permanent and you can't delete the alias).
Now, with that out of the way, let me go ahead and explain how I want to attempt character creation here. I have a template that we can use in place of a character sheet so that way we don't have to upload photos or use different sites to create one. If you want to use a site for that, I've got a good recommendation for you, and I'll give you more information there. I'll post that up for you guys if not tonight, then tomorrow at some point. What we'll do is just take things a little step by step since I don't want to get anyone lost. So I wanna get ability scores done first, then work on class/race combinations from there. Once we get that taken care of, then I have an option for you guys that I prefer to let the group make as a decision (which hasn't let me down so far). From once we do that, then since I'm sticking to the core book for pretty much everything until other wise noted, those who have experience can take things at their pace, and I'll take time with any questions for those not used to this system to finish their characters.
So as for now, you guys have the link to the Pathfinder Reference Document, aka the PRD which can be found just to the left of the page as well if needed, so you can look at things as we go. This is a link to a shared OneDrive folder that contains some resources for you to look at to either help give you ideas or get a feel for the realm this takes place in. It also has a character sheet there for you if you want to print one out just because.
And to get started, what I'll do for ability scores is use the Heroic method of generation, so it'll be 2d6+6. That way it doesn't completely hinder you because I have seen the die here roll for a total of less than 7 on a score here. I don't mind challenges, but I'm not that much of a dick lol. There is a button under the text box to help you with the typical code used that way can easily get the hang of the format used here. So go ahead and roll 2d6+6 6 times and we can go from there. Don't worry about a character alias just yet, we'll get there later on.

Uhh I think I'm doing this right... here goes!
Ability Scores: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 1) + 6 = 82d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 = 132d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6) + 6 = 142d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 4) + 6 = 122d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 142d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 6) + 6 = 13
Actually maybe that's wrong... I don't know what Ethelas did to make them come out as plain numbers.

No, with his rolls, that's legit. Considering some of his rolls at our table have gone pretty south, some including the death of one of my characters, d6 are about the only good ones he can roll lol. I used to be a fan of point buy until I started to see way to many people start to create mechanically favored or role playing favored characters.

Okay... Apparently I didn't exactly explain it as well as I thought lol. I'll make this a little simpler so that way we can get on the same page here. Go ahead and copy this here:
[dice]2d6+6[/dice
[dice]2d6+6[/dice
[dice]2d6+6[/dice
[dice]2d6+6[/dice
[dice]2d6+6[/dice
[dice]2d6+6[/dice
Then put ] at the end of those lines. That will roll the dice so that everyone can have an even platform on generating scores here because Kait here is the only one that we can't actually have a platform to verify all of the rolls. So I need all roles done here on the boards. Which which is one of the reasons I chose here instead of some other site.
Edit: Thanks for the mistake Surii... I messed that up, my bad lol. That's the correct line

No kidding, I am the Critical Fail Master!! But only in combat. If using deception or intimidation, I can make a Goblin wet himself, and I don't even speak Goblin. LOL. "Get the F*** back here you little bastard!!"
