Actually, it is cheaper to buy spell casting services than a scroll. You can also use PP to remove the condition if you want to save the cash.
| DM Carbide |
Once Lybram is back, he can cast it himself.

Oh yea. Apparently it's only 1 PP to get a remove blindness/deafness. Lybram doesn't need to spend a spell, Iladora already has plenty of Prestige.
Viridian Torr
|
Viridian tried the grapple as a last ditch effort knowing he really could not get thru DR effectively. But he is not built to grapple so this likely will not last.
| DM Carbide |
OTOH, you're grappling a wizard--a bit on the strong side, but still a low-BAB enemy.
Lybram Tendras
|
I just checked in to see how things are going. I didn't follow all the discussion is Lybram still dead or in a state of paralysis waiting for me to act somewhere?
| DM Carbide |
Lybram is, unfortunately, still dead. I think the party is on the verge of avenging him, though.
Mrs. Book
|
Nice ending. Amazing how a single roll (in this case the grapple attempt) can make a battle so one-sided.
| DM Carbide |
Having most of the party beat his initiative roll set that up, but yeah. Miss the grapple and it's a very different fight.
Iladora Unfallen
|
Yay!
Can I assume that the raise dead and restoration costs will be spread out across the party?
Yes, that's fine with me.
Viridian Torr
|
Contribute an equal share for the raise and remove blindness if needed
Besides Lybram was right in the middle of the last fight…strapped to the back of Blitz but right there!
| DM Carbide |
Merisiel, how do you want to handle the next level? Legal character levels are 5-7, so if you want to play with her again you'll have to use the L7 pregen.
| DM Carbide |
Before I finalize everyone's chronicles, please make day job rolls and let me know which hex (if any) you want to buy.
Also, I did report the session, so that should be in your profiles (despite the usual glitch that mixes up Core and Standard games in your history).

No hex
perform day job: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

I'm going to use my "regular" 5th leve gnome CORE rogue.
| DM Carbide |
Yes I'll of course contribute to the raise dead etc.
I'm giving the XP and gold to my wizard Alton.
Does Alton get a day job roll?
GM day job roll: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
Lybram Tendras
|
Lybram is a woodcutter.
dayjob: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Don't know if I get this as Lybram is dead, but there it is.
Had fun too.
| DM Carbide |
I deducted the cost of two raise deads and four restorations from the overall party rewards, so Lybram can be assumed to return before you proceed to the next level.
Iladora Unfallen
|
Did somebody die before I got here?
| DM Carbide |
No, Viridian died earlier in the level. Or did the party pay for that raise out of funds on hand?
Mrs. Book
|
You said two raise deads. I thought only one of us died.
Why four restorations? I wasn't keeping track, so you are probably right, but I thought I would ask.
Iladora Unfallen
|
Oh yea, I see that now. He got OHKO'd in the very first fight I was here for, back in June.
| DM Carbide |
Raise dead leaves the resurectee with two permanent negative levels, so one restoration for each of them.
| DM Carbide |
No problem with giving up some gold to heal those slain or wounded.
[dice=Dayjob, Perform]1d20+9
Hex buying: B4
Corbrae, you bought hex B4 last level.
| DM Carbide |
I have chronicles for everyone except Corbrae and Alton/Merisiel done, and will link to them tonight. After deducting the cost of the raises and such, you'll get 4086 gp plus your day job, if you want to start buying stuff.
| DM Carbide |
Most of the chronicles:
Corbrae, I'll have yours ready when you clarify your hex selection.
Convenient place for another day job roll: 1d20 ⇒ 19

I think I will bow out. I'd prefer to play more scenarios with this character rather than speed-level her. Thanks for the game and for bringing me along!
| DM Carbide |
Thanks for playing, Iladora! See you around the boards!
Viridian...it won't be Merisiel-7, but qstor's gnome Rog/5. You can probably manage the next level without a sixth character, but that may involve using Lybram's bear more extensively.
Mrs. Book
|
See you around, Ila!
I highly recommend an adamantine weapon for any front liner. It's almost a necessity. What Vir could really use is more AC though. A pity the talisman that provides life's breath is not available.
| DM Carbide |
I can ask my friend?
I'd be fine with that as long as they're available now. Are they currently on the boards?
Mrs. Book
|
Fun prestige class; one of the very few that tempts me. So you going to start vying for the front line?
Lybram Tendras
|
I have two potions of barkskin I plan to use this next level and think I need an adamantine hvy mace. 3012g is about all my gold. But probably worth it.
Is stuff like that readily available at Fort Inevitable? If so, Lybram will get the hvy mace.
| DM Carbide |
Fun prestige class; one of the very few that tempts me. So you going to start vying for the front line?
Of my five Core campaign characters, one has already taken a prestige class (ftr1/rog4 to shadowdancer), and two are working towards one (sorc to dragon disciple and wiz to loremaster).
Qstor, can you dot in with your gnome rogue?
| DM Carbide |
Waiting for qstor's rogue, and if the frontliner shows up before that they're in.
