quick question about mauler familiars

my mauler familiar does 2d4 in it's normal sizes. what does that become when it goes battle form? 2d6?

If the familiar is originally tiny, then 2d6 seems to be right according to the Damage Dice Progression table.

nope from small to medium. sorry i forgot to mention that.

okay, then it would advance from 2d4 to 1d10.
(Since 2d4 counts as 1d8 for this table, and the original size is below medium)
