I am seriously thinking about using this build.

My GM said they need someone to disable traps. After doing some extensive research, this build seems like the most fun to play while still being able to fill the utility the group needs.
Currently, there is 1 F/Barb/Wiz/Sorc/Cleric. My nephew is going to be playing an archery ranger mostl likely.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

I thought you wanted trapfinding? A ninja doesn't ever get that and so can't disarm magic traps. If you can get a wand of Aram Zey's Focus you can work around that though.
Bear in mind it can only sneak attack creatures without any of blindsight, see invisible or true seeing, unless you can set up a flank. Also moving shuts down its ability to do more than one attack. The ninja above would be great when it works well, terrible when it doesn't.
