Swarm Monger questions

In hope that the Swarm Monger archetype from Blood of the Beast will be approved for PFS I'm trying to clear up some of the Swarm rules, esp in relation to how the archetype works.

1) do swarms add their Str bonus to their damage?
2) would casting Reduce Animal on the Familiar, then having it turn into a swarm give it the benefits of a swarm of Diminutive creatures?

I don't have access to the book, however.

1) No swarm that I know of adds Str (or Dex for that matter) to their damage, they get the damage from the table under the swarm subtype, while the swarm attack is listed under melee attack, it's not a normal melee attack and has its special rules.

2) No idea how the ability to turn your farmiliar into a swarm works, so can't say
