Well, dispel magic doesn't allow SR.
Magic jar does not say you keep your SR while possessing something. It does say
... You keep your Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, level, class, base attack bonus, base save bonuses, alignment, and mental abilities. The body retains its Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, hit points, natural abilities, and automatic abilities.
So would you rule that SR is a mental, or automatic ability?

Hmm good catch on the dispel magic the player rolled to bypass SR and I didn't think to check if the spell needed SR or no just assumed it did.
Well SR could be considered an automatic ability?
I might just rule that spells that affect the demon need SR while spells that only affect the physical body don't need an Sr check.

1) Dispel Magic doesn't allow SR.
2) In case you want to use other spells that allow SR against the possessed character/possessor: SR functions even if the owner is unconscious. So I'd say it's not a mental ability. Since during possession any ability should be coming either from host or invader but not both, and the host's SR is still going on, I'd say the invader's SR would not apply. Except perhaps against effects that directly target the invader (tend to be specialized effects).
