Weapon bonus to trip attempts

Rules Questions

Besides the blog post here, where in the rules can I find where it says the weapon bonus (enhancement, weapon focus, fighter weapon training, etc) adds to the CMB roll for the attempt?

The blog post also mentions page 199 of the CRB (and the same text is in the PRD).

Quote:
Add any bonuses you currently have on attack rolls due to spells, feats, and other effects. These bonuses must be applicable to the weapon or attack used to perform the maneuver.

If the maneuver uses the weapon, its bonuses apply.

The version of the Dueling enhancement found in the Pathfinder Society Field Guide also explicitly calls out Trip maneuvers as generally being performable with a weapon.

Also see this FAQ.

Thanks shaventalz. I totally missed that.

Does that also mean if I have Weapon Finnesse (Unarmed Strike) I get my Dex on CMB?

The Exchange Owner - D20 Hobbies

Not all CMB checks can use Unarmed Strikes as a weapon.

Grapple doesn't for example per developer comments.

Sunder and Trip do for sure, as does any weapon with the weapon special property that allows it.

Scarab Sages

Any weapon based maneuvers benefit from weapon finesse: trip, disarm, and sunder in most cases. Maneuvers that don't use weapons, like grapple, bull rush, overrun, and dirty trick do not and have to use agile maneuvers instead.
