Is Mage Armor worth it at this point when I get get an armor runes which do the same thing or is upcasting at 4th level (8th level character I believe) better?

I think it's mostly personal preference. I'm a fan of Mage Armor because it can save you a ton of gold for a single spell slot even if it isn't quite on par with buying the armor runes.
If you want the armor runes earlier or really want the spell slot, then buying them makes sense too.
Honestly, Mage Armor was the deciding factor for me of choosing between Monk/Spellcaster or Magus/Monk. Not having to buy armor runes is pretty great for me.

@GM thanks for running, I really liked that scenario. The game was fast paste and I enjoyed it. The last fight is definitely a difficult one, and I can't imagine playing a team of lvl 1 against this boss. The sandstorm is brutal!
The chronicle looks good, downloaded and saved.
Thank you the team for nice run.
@Avonatha - I saw that some higher lvl wizs are investing in buying some wands to cast stuff like magic armor, longstrider and such.

Thanks for running the game! A bit bummed that Hui Kong's shocking grasp didn't go off, but that's the magus. High risk high reward. :)
@Avonatha, my generalist wizard focuses on being super-utility. So much of his gold is spent on learning utility spells and buying scrolls for the just-in-case.

She is also a casacade bearer in the magaayban tradition. So the plan is to get access to all traditions.

Thanks aplenty for the game! I hope to see you all around the boards.
I don't know how much advice from my wizard would translate, even as a fellow universalist; he has Barbarian Dedication and is unhealthily focused on hitting people.
