This seemingly normal pearl of average size and luster is a potent aid to all spellcasters who prepare spells (clerics, druids, rangers, paladins, and wizards). Once per day on command, a pearl of power enables the possessor to recall any one spell that she had prepared and then cast that day. The spell is then prepared again, just as if it had not been cast. The spell must be of a particular level, depending on the pearl.
At 4th level, the magus learns to use his arcane pool to recall spells he has already cast. With a swift action he can recall any single magus spell that he has already prepared and cast that day by expending a number of points from his arcane pool equal to the spell’s level (minimum 1). The spell is prepared again, just as if it had not been cast.
So does this mean the Magus Spell Recall acts in the same way as a Pearl of Power, and let you regain a spell per day at the cost of arcane point?
Example: A 4th level magus casts the spell Mirror Image. He had only Prepared it once and used the Spell Recall ability to prepare it once again. Would that mean he could cast the Second level spell again?

Spell Recall does have some other differences at later levels - Improved Spell Recall lowers the Arcane Pool cost, and also allows you to replace the expended spell with any spell from your spellbook rather than forcing you to recall that same spell.

Yes, they basically work the same way. You could get Mirror Image back by either using a 2nd level Pearl of Power or by expending 2 Arcane Pool Points on Spell Recall.
That's a major tatic my magus uses. She'll prepare one Mirror Image and then spend one pool point to reclaim it after using it. (she's 11th level)
