As an arcanist (Kind of like the idea over a familiar...)
Eidolons are way stronger than familiars. There are a couple options that might work, though!
Summoner Variant Multiclassing. You'll get a weak eidolon you can summon for a handful of rounds per day. At half your feats, it's a bit pricey.
A much better deal is the Figment archetype for your (non-improved) familiar. It gets a few evolution points that can be re-assigned daily, and reforms the next day when killed (at the cost of being very fragile).
