Boggards unite! (?)
So, I ran my group through the encounter with the boggards in the village. Things turned out not quite as expected.
I had the boggards appear at 1/round (instead of the every 1d3 rounds suggested in the book; group is too strong for such a slow moving encounter). After killing 4, 2 still alive on the board, and Mama Beballa having just appeared, the group's Arcanist casts major illusion using the Shard of Pride to have a huge group (25+) troglodytes jump out from hiding surrounding and throughout the village. Of course, Mama fails her Will save (determined she automatically disbelieved because she knew the current strength/status of the local trog tribe). So, she thinks somehow another trog tribe has been brought into the area by this group of humans, and immediately orders a retreat!
So, Mama + 3 advanced boggards + 5 normal boggards abandon their village. I'm assuming that they will travel to the cave shrine and join forces with Doghop and his group. The advanced boggards (who were still loyal to Doghop) could help corroborate Mama's story that the humans are now out to destroy their village after aligning with the trogs.
Would it beyond the realm of possibility to have Mama and Doghop reconcile against this new human + trog threat? As the GM, I know I could have this happen, but I want to hear opinions of others that I'm not stretching the fundamental concept of these groups who were written at odds with each other regarding the humans.
Thanks!
