Which Is Bigger: Rappan Athuk, Or The Emerald Spire?

I'll preface this by saying that I don't own Emerald Spire, but I've seen bits and pieces as well as played individual levels at cons.

I own the 3E version of Rappan Athuk, before it was redone in one volume for Pathfinder. It's huge. Immense. Sprawling. There's an entire city in one cavern on one level. I'd say it's a safe bet that it is bigger than the Emerald Spire.

Emerald Spire has some local setting material that ties directly into it and has already been published but even with that boost Shadowborn is right. You could run an entire campaign in Rappan Athuk for years playing once a week.

The complexity of RA and it's collectible pricing has kept me from buying it but I've read through large portions of it. Emerald Spire, as published, isn't even as big as the recent 5E D&D modules. At least not the last three.

The Pathfinder version of RA is a hardcover book weighing in at 600+ pages. It sports outdoor and side areas not present in the 3.0 version, and of course it's large number of dungeon levels. It is meant for levels 3-20+ and you can get up there.
Emerald Spire is meant for levels 1-13+ and a bit shorter.

Superdungeons, no matter the exact size, are not everyones cup of tea, though. So there aren't many of them around, and some are merely attempts at building one (like Undermountain in 2E, which got only 3 levels partially filled out).

The Emerald Spire is 2 miles top to bottom so big, but not that big.
