Can Drow use the Elven Curved Blade as a martial weapon?

Rules Questions

I want to play a Drow fighter-type and flavor wise would make me happy, but i am not above following the rules so my question stands.

Grand Lodge

Drow get a different set of weapon familiarity.

Which, to be clear, means that no, they can't get the curveblade as a martial weapon.

Presumably... for free, without investing a feat in Exotic Weapon Proficiency.

Well, then it's an exotic weapon, not a martial one, isn't it?

;)

Well, surface elves have to invest in at least one level of a class with Martial weapon proficiency... sure, that didn't bother my Arctic Elf ranger, but combat type builds are not the only ones... I've toyed with the concept of a rogue using that weapon too, but then I would need to dip (or is there a rogue talent that allows proficiency in martial/exotic weapons?)

Combat trick could give you any combat feat, which a weapon proficiency is.
