Character in need of "backup"

Advice

Hello forum folk,

Building a few characters for a friend and ran into an issue. We discussed building a Emperor type character with a person guard. However after some discussion on it, he wants the soldiers to be "Summoned"

I was thinking Broodmaster Summoner, but Im told its not the best way of having multiple minions. Any help in this would be great.

1 Character who can summon 2-4 "humaniod minions" for short periods of time to fight for him.

Going Summoner is basically the only serious option if you want to be able to summon groups of guards on a moment's notice.

Assuming a bunch of pint sized eidolons won't cut it, you can always offer him a little leniency on his Summon Monster ability. I mean, technically, Aasimar are outsiders...

Take a look at Occultist. They have both Necromancy and Conjuration summoning abilities (as standard actions even) and are a strong all around class.

I also suggest the Occultist, but the Arcanist archetype. That gives you the ability to summon monster as a standard which is very powerful, it scales by level, and they get to be a 9th level spellcaster.

sounds like Azir from LoL

I would go with Master Summoner and houserule appropriate CR humanoid guards for his summons. By getting the Superior Summoning feat he can summon 2-4 at CR-1 in one standard action. Or 3-5 at CR-2.

Yes, its Azir inspired. Hes looking to make the sand soldiers but was unsure how to do so. I started a build for him using broodmaster summomer however it was frowned on. So looking for help either making that concept better, or an entirely different concept.
