I really want SNL to parody this debate with a loaf of white bread and a wheel of cheese where the actors are off camera reading their jokes.

When SNL parodies it, I want to see Kaine set Pence up to try defending Trump's policies and/or rhetoric... and then the camera quick cuts to the moderator wearing an Admiral Ackbar mask.

By the way, nobody actually needs to watch this. According to the GOP, as of approximately 90 minutes before the debate, Pence is already the winner and had a great night. They've got his top moments and everything.

Dammit, Tim, you did it again!

I kind of like the idea of making Tim Kaine our Parks & Rec "Jerry" figure.

538 clearly agrees. http://fivethirtyeight.com/live-blog/vice-presidential-debate-election-2016 /

Just try looking at their picture of Kaine and not thinking, "Aw Jeez..."

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Also, Hillary Clinton lost the debate tonight? and 5 questions they didn't ask Tim Kaine.

Don't bother, you're not going to wake up next to Suzanne Pleshett.

oh jeez don't pull a Trump Kaine...

They're having a hard time staying on topic. o wo;

Lots of arguing.

And Pence isn't answering questions directly.

Yep, he's definitely Trump's pet.

I uh...I hear there is a WAR ON COAL???

I've heard of the War on Drugs and the War on Terror... but this is the first I've heard of a war on coal.

Did Pence & Trump get too many lumps of coal in their stockings last year?

"...at the risk of agreeing with you..." --Pence

Wow. That must have been physically painful to say.

"Yes. Don't say anything about it and everything will be fine!

I'm pretty sure Pence is talking slow on purpose.

"You can't insult me by telling them all of the things that i've actually said! there's no way we said all that or we wouldn't have support...

Unlike Trump, Pence's mouth seems to run about the same speed as his brain.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone wish the moderator was allowed to have an air-horn that she can use whenever the two candidates start arguing over each other?

Also, I think Kaine has had one too many espressos.

Yeah, it's really pissing me off they keep talking over the mod.

I think they both should have been strapped into their chairs, and Quijano should have buttons to shock them into shutting up.

I wish she would stop changing the subject every time Pence runs out of dodging time. She has been a huge help to him so far.

wow...that was a pretty horrible dodge on the how would you deal with homegrown terrorism question

MMCJawa wrote:

Pretty much translates into "We'll deal with homegrown terrorism by making you even more afraid of foreigners!"

Yeah moderators need to start just using tasers on the candidates

Or at least on Pence.

I wouldn't mind if they had a sliding control to turn their mics down.

well...Both candidates seem to be equally bad as I see it on this front. Both seem prone to talking over one another and the moderator, to the point that several times I haven't even been able to figure out what is being said.

The moderator actually pointed that out - that the people at home can't understand them when they do that. They DID settle down for a bit afterwards, but... XD; Honestly, it's just painful now.

I had to stop watching.

...alright.

I'm just waiting for someone to start throwing punches now. This is just getting embarrassing.

...yeah

and its cutting into my precious Ghost Rider time

Yes! They brought up Russia! Thank you!

Edit: And we're full circle back to taxes, bravo!

Well, it only took them a bunch of arguing.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND they're at it again. That'll teach me to get my hopes up.

Also, "Little Green Men".

Sovereign Court

I like how the mod asked Pence what he thought about an African American being upset about being pulled over repeatedly and Pence responded with, "we need more stop and frisk..." wow

Wish Kaine was less interrupting and would let up on the talking points.....on the other hand that seems to do well with audiences of these things so what do I know? The insults wont work Pence is an old hat as a talk radio guy he will come out of this looking like the cool-headed one.

An African-American Republican Senator, I might add.

wow...he opened up the Foundation front...

Well, I think I'm ready to call the debate here.

I truly feel stupider for having watched it.

I'll be honest - I dropped after about 37 minutes, I think it was. XD; I admire those who could stay longer.

I'm sticking it out to the end. Probably against my better judgement.

Yeah, me too. They both won't get off their prepared attack points and fixating on getting in the last word/rebuttal.

The faith question... Pence seems to be deliberately vague here and trying to run out the clock.

Uh oh Pence...

probably a bad angle to take the Faith question into an attack direction...

To be honest, I completely missed the question.

I just assumed they'd go on and on about taxes and that s&+$ again.

What's going on, exactly? o wo

Talking about abortion, apparently.

asking about hard choices in political life that conflicted with personal beliefs

Abortion discussion with no mention of contraception access and more than abstinence-only education, Kaine?

Edit: I keep forgetting that We Have Always Been at War with Coal.
