Which spells work under an Exciters Perfect Passion ability?

Advice and Rules Questions

The way the ability is worded implies that only spells with an emotion component but no thought component can be cast while in a Rapture.

While I haven't done a complete check of all the spells available to the Spiritualist, even a cursory read shows the vast majority have both Thought and Emotion components.

So, unlike the Bloodrager, the Exciter seems to be limited to a mere handful of spells they can use while in Rapture.

Is that right? Or am I reading the Perfect Passion ability wrong?

Anyone?

Probably whatever metamagic abilities allow you to use a spell without a Thought component. Not really sure what metamagic that might be, if it exists.

^Intuitive Spell lets you cast spells unencumbered by the thought process.

Hmm looks like that's the only way to do it.

Pretty badly designed ability frankly, if I need to take a feat to use it.

Edit: Do Psychic Metamagic take a full round to use like arcane spontaneous casters?

Yes. Some limited ways exist to keep from increasing the casting time, although unfortunately Occult casters do not have access to one of the prominent ones (Arcane Sorcerer Bloodline).

Cool. Thanks guys

It's a badly designed archetype all around, unfortunately. I was really interested in it until I read it. -2 AC on a d8 HD, light armor using class? And to add to the suck, they take away spellcasting with that gimpy mechanic. I mean, they allowed the Bloodrager to rage and cast, but they don't allow the same thing for the Spiritualist. Stupid.
