As a first time player (for Pathfinder Society) I have a vampire hunter/Inquisitor build in mind but in wanting the character to make sense with this season's theme, does this even make sense?
Does vampirism and vampires exist on the elemental planes?
Will I have to make up an elaborate reason why I'm so far away from where they (or at least most of them) are?
If they maybe exist there, what are ways I can keep in character and check for vampiric activity without distracting from the purpose of the session?

Many vampires are also decently powerful full casters. Even if they aren't native it's pretty reasonably to think some have hidden bases on the more hospitable (for them) ones filled with cattle.
If Shaitan "sun" globe things don't count as sunlight (possibly even if they do), which they shouldn't given there's only a handful of abilities that trigger that in the first place the Plane of Earth should be a favorite.

Here's the reason why the elemental planes aren't a big draw for Vampires.. (aside from the Plane of Water thing)
Vampire: (using cheesy pseudo-Romanian accent) "Good eeeevennning! I am here to suck your blood!"
Elemental pulls out arm made of fire/stone/air. : "Go ahead pal, knock yourself out."
Can't Vampires nourish themselves through energy draining effects, y'know the kind that influences all living creatures? Furthermore I thought that vampires can be raised from corpses killed either by blood drain or energy drain?

To be frank, I haven't run into many vampires in PFS. Vampires are classic long-term enemies, that tend to have layers of minions protecting them, and even if you beat a vampire in combat, you probably need to race to its coffin to finish it off. An enemy with that many twists and turns is quite difficult to write into a scenario intended to last 4 hours.
Then again, Horror Adventures is new and PFS tends to have a couple of scenarios featuring stuff from new hardcovers every season. So who knows...
