Hi all,
I'm about to play an occultist for the first time and I picked up Aegis and Legacy weapon so I'm curious what people have found are good on the fly buffs (trying to compile a short list so I dont slow down combat looking for things) we are level 6 so its only up to +2 right now but I'm curious at any level.
The obvious ones are Bane and Defiant (especially in encounters with only single creature types or that has one drastically stronger one).
Keen is always useful until I can afford to put it on permanently (I'm using a nodachi)
The burst range of weapons could be useful as well, as we have a Kukri crit build in the party.

Armor: evolving for mobility, mind buttressing when up against appropriate enemies ... can't think of anything else.
Weapons: holy (etc.) for damage, know your alignments of course. Vicious when that can't help. Merciful when you want to take them alive, heartseeker vs. illusions, phase locking vs. teleporters.

It's fairly new. Just came out in Inner Sea Intrigue.

I'm probably have a short list of something like this for my max +2:
Legacy Weapon:
Keen (until I can afford it permanently)
Bane
Heartseeker
Phase Locking
Advancing (ya more 5 ft steps)
Training
Aegis:
Defiant
Evolving
Mind Buttressing
That should be plenty for now. Havent played an occultist but they seem to have more uses for their standard action than standard actions, so I dont think I will be able to waste 2 rounds every combat, so it will mostly work well when we have prep before an encounter.
