Grand Lodge

Let's start off simple-

1> Explosive Bomb Discovery + Lightning Lash Bomb Admixture- Do they stack? meaning, well, After i consume the Admixture, does am i able to use the extended blast of Explosive Bombs to snare enemies?

Now something more in depth Draconic Reservior extract.
1> First off, when i create the extract, do i have to designate what energy it absrobs; or only when i consume the extract?

2> Can I voluntarily stand in my bombs splash radius and absorb some energy that way?

Scarab Sages

No clue to the first two. Regarding the last one, yeah, you could totally use self-inflicted damage to charge this one up.

1: Lightning Lash Admixture says it has no effect on discoveries you use to modify your bombs. Therefore, since it isn't doing anything to hinder them, the two interact positively.

2: Draconic Reservoir says it functions like Protection From Energy, which asks you to select an energy type from among the primary four. Therefore, you select an energy type for Draconic Reservoir too, and in addition to functioning like Protection From Energy, you also get the added benefit for the type of energy you selected.

As for selecting, potions state that you make any decisions about its casting at the time you drink them, and extracts function similarly. Therefore, you simply specify you're making a Draconic Reservoir extract with no need for specify element then, similarly to how wizards do not need to prepare a specific element of Protection From Energy.

Explosive Bomb makes your bomb have a 10' radius for splash damage, Lightning Lash Bomb says it works on anything damaged by the splash damage, so yes they stack.

The material component for Draconic Reservior is a scale from a dragon that produces the energy you seek to absorb. Extracts are likened to potions in that they are mixed in advance, so any choices made based on ingredients would be chosen at the time of mixing. As such, I'd say that the energy type is fixed upon extract creation, as an ingredient of the extract is what determines the type. Note that extracts never explicitly state that they use the same material components, but it's a reasonable assumption to make that the extract functions the exact same way as creating a potion of the same spell would (assuming such a thing was possible), and the brew potion feat states "When you create a potion, you make any choices that you would normally make when casting the spell." which would include the choice of what scale to use as the material component

Answered in FAQ long ago.

Alchemist, Choices When "Casting": If I makes an extract of a multiple-choice spell (such as protection from energy), do I make that choice when I create the extract, or when I drink it?

You make the choice when you drink it.
