Trying to remember the name of a particular bag

As the subject line states I'm trying to remember the name of a bag, or, to be more precise, a set of bags. The property of the bags was that, if you put something in one of the bags, people with other bags of the same set would have access to whatever item or items were placed in them. Does anyone remember something similar to this?

I thought I knew exactly what you meant - although I remembered it as a shared Handy Haversack - but after looking for an hour I still can't find it.
