Urgathoa Adherent

Advice

So while looking through the various prestige classes in order to find a possible replacement should my TN Inquisitor (Relic Hunter/ Reaper of Secrets) of Norgorber fall in a Hell's Vengeance campaign I am in I started looking at the Sentinel PrC. It looked quite interesting an angle for a religious martial that wasn't just an antipaladin or paladin. While looking through some of the gods that had Sentinel boons I noticed that Urgathoa had some pretty interesting ones for the fighter, her second boon advancing weapon training with heavy blades by one (if you had heavy blades weapon trained) while her third increased bravery by one and modified it to also effect all saves against undead (quite handy for some games, not sure about Hell's Vengeance but the advancement is still decent for Armed Bravery). What I am asking is how should I roleplay an individual that is supposed to be a champion of Urgathoa while being TN?

To clarify I had a rough backstory in which he was essentially an unwilling champion sworn to her service because she "saved" him from a terrible illness when no one else did (at least that is what he thinks). I have him as a blacksmith that grew up in a temple of Nethys but abandoned his station after everyone realized he had very little magical talent. Thought about having him live in Geb and making the fact that he was a servant of Nethys in the temple (sort of like an acolyte) and later a rather competent blacksmith the reason he wasn't turned into an undead creature. As it is after surviving his life-threatening disease he found himself rather gaunt (yet retaining his 17 Str score, assuming 20 point buy) and has a rather large appetite for someone his size.

I do plan for him to have Eldritch Heritage (using Focused Study to give him a boost to religion to show his brief religious training coupled with the Child of the Temple faith trait) in order to get an Emissary Familiar (if I am allowed to make it an archetype, that is) as a sort of precurser to him becoming a Sentinel (and Urgathoa finding him to be an amusing servant).

Page 15 of Agents of Evil has a group called "The Pallid Palate" which basically focus of her gluttony side. It would fit well and make sense to be true neutral.

Hm, interesting. May have to check out that book then. The gluttony part will certainly be a large part of him, although for him it will probably be thanks to rather large increase of appetite that acquired after his run in with the illness.

A neutral follower of Urgathoa might be someone who finds the idea that everybody has a set time at which they are supposed to die offensive, and is equally offended that those people who find ways to extend their lives past this point are somehow considered sinners by the Church of Pharasma.

Sort of an ultimate survivalist character - an, "I'm not dying until I choose to die" kind of thing.

Well that would certainly fit with how he got into the situation to begin with (the whole diseased and dying episode I planned for him earlier in his life). Lord knows that is how I play my brawler in Skull and Shackles, although he worships Gozreh.
