Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

t.v., anime, movies, comics or books.

i was recently watching the anime "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" and there is a part where the main character sets off his spell inside the wound of the monster causing the monster to explode in a fiery mess leaving just the lower body.

is it possible to set a spell off inside a target like burning hands or fireball.

not that i plan on making a wizard or anything. was just wondering if it was possible to replicate such a thing in pathfinder.

are there rules?

special feats?

Spellstrike. The Magus, and a few others, can get it. You can cast a spell through your blade.

ohh okay good to know

No, there are no special effects in most games. It would generally be considered unbalanced to have a spell be exponentially more effective to simulate the situation you described.

Though, from a DM perspective, if the spell /attack/ etc. We're to deal the killing blow and maybe they got a good roll or a lot of overkill damage i might allow something like this to occur as just fun roleplay flair. They will then always remember that fight as the one Jake blew the dragons top half off with a fireball. Sometimes for the sake of fun and awesomeness you don't need a set of rules, this game is primarily about imagination after all.
