How do you build your Feiya? (Strategies and opinions)

Feiya has some cool abilities in the witch deck. Just wondering what others were planning on focusing on with her.

I've not yet played CD Feiya, but I've played S&S Feiya twice. Her Hex power is very strong and lets her cycle her deck very efficiently. I recommend putting your first power feat into allowing her to use hex her power on monsters and second power feat bumping it up from +1 to +2.

Her cohort Daji allows her shuffle 1d4 spells in her discard pile into her deck every turn, which means she could run the staves in the Witch CD very efficiently.

By hexing trait, you mean the first one where she can recharge a card to lower check difficulties on barriers? I agree, I think its a powerful trick. However, if one were to go winter witch, would it be worth investing 4 power feats into it in order to reduce checks by 3+ adventure deck (eventually thats 9 :O), and allows you to ignore cold and fire immunes, also lets you effect monsters? I think its probably worth it to grab all of the enhancements, with grabbing the ability to hex monsters first.

im not so much of fan of her second power, and not worth the feag investment, however i o like her add cold trait and use arcane skill for dex/acro non combat checks....

Would daji allow her to recharge wands though? they count as playing a spell but they are an item.

Nope. They are Items, not Spells. They only count as spells when you play them, not when they are sitting in your discard pile.

I figured as much. I have a hard time justifying using a wand over a spell, they don't look that much better, especially the early witch wands. Cases can be made for the wand of evocation later.

First off, so that nobody else gets confused, we are talking about staves, not wands. And yes, the basic ones are not that useful if you are going with a lot of Attack spells. However, if you pick up some non-Attack spells, a staff will let you attack with those. Also, the Flame staff gives you a Fire attack with a Basic deck, otherwise you will need to wait to pick up Fiery Glare. This probably doesn't matter all that much early on, though. If you have the promo cards from the Iconic Minis line, the Dreamseeker Staff is excellent for Feiya.


I was playing Feiya wrong, but even so the promo Dreamseeker's Staff was incredibly useful!
