Built a bad(?) or weird(?) druid but I like the RP. What can I do to keep it viable?

Fluff:

Monk went to commune with nature. Over whelmed by the power of the forest his third eye chakra was forced open (mutant eye). He has lived in the woods for 80 years. His vocabulary has degraded (total # of words = 10 + # of scenarios). He has since been rescued and recruited to the PFS. Picture Dwarf Tarzan.

I wanted him to be a super wise, and super hardy dwarf. Impossible to get anything by, but not smart.

Obvious problems bad AC, sub par to hit, too much stat dumping.

Build (currently level 3):

16/10/15/8/19/5 (after racials)

levels UnMonk 1, Druid (Menhir Savant for caster level) X.

Traits
Mutant Eye, Glory of Old

Feats
1-Improved Unarmed (monk), Toughness (dwarf alternate racial trait), Stunning Fist (monk), Dodge (monk bonus), Boon Companion (may retrain)
3-Snake Style (+18 Sense Motive at level 3)
5-Nature Spell
7-Planar Wild Shape

Animal Companion - elephant name Ears

Bodyguard animal companion. Building toward In Harms Way.

I'm only level three. The character is fun but feels pretty weak. Shillelagh quarter staff flurry is my current battle plan. Wild shape will take over later.

I can't seem to decide what spells or equipment I should prioritize. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your first level is monk you cannot take boon companion at level one since you do not qualify.

I may retrain the feat that is there too boon companion. Sorry that was not clear.

Fluff: Cool story bro, how are you supposed to play a guy with only ~15 words? Seems like a very poor idea unless you've done it successfully before.

Build: I'd honestly skip the Monk level. It doesn't seem to give you that much while it stalls your companion and spells for 1 level.

I agree, the only benefit would be those feats monk gets. Your DEX is poop and the WIS from monk wont be enough unless you prepare many Barkskin spells to get your AC up to par. Flurry of Blows wont ever get very good with the low BAB progression of Druid. I would work towards Heavy Armor, Dwarves do have a special full-plate that is stone that would work well for a Druid (no metal). Your Elephant will be your main offense. Look into the Evolve Companion and Totem Beast feats. Style feats are fun but unusable in Wild Shape without the Feral Combat Training feat. Animal Soul is awesome if you use the old version.

Your high WIS will make you an efficient caster though so focus more on that while Ears protects you.

1st level spells I recommend;
Calm Animals, Cure Light Wounds, Entangle, Shillelagh
There are other handy spells but they are situational so study them and prepare according to your environment.

Flurrying with produce flame might be fun. Touch attacks, so your horrid BAB won't matter. Can you do a flurry of ranged touch attacks?

Can you swap Strength for Dexterity? That would help your AC, Dex saves, initiative, ranged attacks, finesse melee attacks, Acrobatics and Stealth, etc.

I have scene it done in person and in podcasts. You would be surprised what you can accpomlish with well picked words, if you are not a face.

The other thing I was considering was retraining nature bone to animal domain to fully use non companion but it feels cheesy.
