Touch spells and targets you are touching?

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

If I'm grappled by, riding on, or holding hands with another creature, do I still roll normally for melee touch attacks against them?

Liberty's Edge

1. Only "technically" - you take a penalty to attacks, but they take a penalty to AC. Attack penalty applies no matter who you're attacking.
2. Yep.
3. No rules I'm aware of for holding hands. "Probably," with the caveat that someone you're holding hands with is probably a Friend and would let you cast the spell on them without the attack roll (same goes for horse of course, if it's also allied).

Yes. You always roll to attack. Your GM is free to give you a nifty circumstance bonus to hit if appropriate, but no freebies.

Remember that casting a touch spell on a willing target never requires an attack roll.

Just double checking. Thanks.
