So, the ability reads

Whenever you cast a spell that cures the target of hit point damage, you do not provoke attacks of opportunity for spellcasting.

The most immediate spell that comes to mind outside of the cure spells is fractions of heal and harm. Are there any others that make this really worth it?

Breath of Life is a solid example.

fractions of heal and harm doesn't heal the target, nor does the spell they cast heal a target of that spell, one because there is no target, and to the healing isn't to anyone in the spell's range.

I say it works because...

Fractions of Heal and Harm wrote:

Target you

The target the spell is healing is you and has a specific target of "you."

Though, I didn't realize it was a swift action to cast which wouldn't provoke anyway.

I can see that.

fractions of heal and harm isn't healing any HP damage. It's making it so your next spell has some different effect.

The spell "Fractions of Heal and Harm" heals no damage when you cast it. It changes the way a subsequent spell works. The subsequent spell is the one that heals the damage. The second sentence of Fractions reads, "The next instantaneous area damage spell of 3rd level or lower that you cast deals only 75% of its damage, but heals you of a number of hit points equal to the remaining 25% of the spell’s damage."

There is nothing in the Fractions description that indicates Fractions heals any damage, and a statement that the subsequent spell heals damage.

Yeah its a weird spot but.. yeah it wouldn't I don't think. The spell itself heals nothing. Does nothing but modify a spell. The spell it modifies wouldn't have you as a target.

Which is all irrelevant considering it doesn't provoke anyway. :)

Yes. I understand that. But it's not irrelevant for spells that go along those lines. That's the only point I was making.

Well I did some checking around. Looks like martyrs last blessing may work, with some table varience.

Persistent Vigour gives fast healing. Don't know if that works.

Restful sleep would. But... you'd be an idiot to cast a spell that helps people sleep while trying not to provoke attacks.

Past that... not much. Regeneration takes 3 rounds.

Nice. Thank you!
