Which campaign to buy?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Hey all,
I Just finished rise of thee runelords yesterday with Group of 5. We used paladin, Bard (me),Wizard, druid and Ranger.

I want to start a new adventure. Which campaign (shackles or wrath of the righteous) do you advice and why?

Dont Have the money yet to buy both.

Tnx, Arjen

How do you feel after rotrl?
Was it too easy, just fine, too difficult?
Shacles upps the difficulty, wrath put the difficulty to the room top. Mammy may be in there between those too, but Lets see.

If rotrl was fine try the Shield of Rannick

If it was too easy try wrath or mummys mask or wrath.

Otherwice shacles may be the where to go. A Little bit more difficult than rotrl.

Grand Lodge

That's a tough one without knowing what it is you like.

S&S, while challenging, is more of a light-hearted romp (comparitively), while Wrath of the Righteous is more of a more-power-higher-difficulty Adventure Path. Each involve new mechanics (ships and plunder for S&S, Cohorts and Mythic Paths for WotR), and each is strongly themed (lots of aquatic and swashbuckling for S&S, demons and outsiders galore for WotR)...

Personally, I bought them all at once 'cause I had cash back then. My initial intent was to buy them in order of release.

Silver Crusade

I would recommend Skull & Shackles. It's a bit more of a challenge than Rise of the Runelords, but definitely in a good way.

Wrath of the Righteous is not terrible, but it can feel like a bit of a grind sometimes. If you go that route, I recommend skipping the B scenarios.

If you can buy a copy of Mummy's Mask right now, I definitely want to hear about it.

The information of my secrect time machine that I was suposed to use to rule the world has leaked...
Damn!
Well I can reveal that the First scenarios of the Mummy mask have been quite... *kaboom*
Where did that lightning come From the cloudless sky?

The original poster did not seem to be be in hurry, so Mummy is good alternative. I have foreseen it ;-)

Scarab Sages

I recommend Skull & Shackles. I personally would skip Wrath entirely, but different strokes for different folks.

I just played my first Pathfinder Card Game session ever and my friend and I played through the first 3 scenarios of the S&S base set. I picked up S&S over the other 2 sets because it had pirates. We already play a lot of different fantasy themed board and and card games and while WotR and RotR look cool I wanted a change of pace from the standard fantasy trappings. So that's my advice in a nutshell: get "Skulls & Shackles" because pirates.

Rotrl was a bit too easy for me. We only had to retry once, and that was because we weer learning The game. The rise of powerlevel of the monsters and locations from 5 to 6 felt a bit too Big. Wanted to see that a bit earlier. I wanted the Game to be a bit More of a Challenge.

Love the mechanics, Art, deckbuilding, levelling.

Well Mike you may not be aware of that - and I guess I will regret having told you tomorrow - is that one of the disadvantage of being a schyzophréic double personality god of games is that you are not always aware of what your other you may do. So while you, Mike, are still strongly in the belief that mummies will hit the shelves in november or so, your online alter ego speaking in your sleep not-this-Mike has already played a bunch of games with us.

But we won't tell.
Cause we are nice goblins.

Then Shacles or Shield of Rannic will do fine.
