how would you guys build it? Are there any parasite or symbiotic based monsters you can may use leadership to acquire it, it so it can cast it own spells or preform it's own functions?
It was thinking Maybe tumor familiar, but it does not really fit, is there away to get it with out being alchemist? Maybe combine it with improved familiar to have it take more then an animal shape?
I could accept D as an aberrant bloodrager, with the hand as his aberrant tumor.
What ever he is, it's level 20 and tier 10 mythic.

That way it can grow it's own abilities. does not need to actual be D or his left hand. could be the hand from Paryste anime, or the chin from the other guy in it.

What improved familiar do you think would fit his left hand best. I was thinking maybe Cacodaemon daemon?
Looking this up, I've noticed that a Kami Shikigami familiar is almost made for this. I'd still rather have a raven tumor familiar with the protector archetype, but the Shikigami covers bonding with you without having to be a tumor, so you have more freedom in bloodlines as a bloodrager.
The next best fit for an improved familiar would be a tumor Doru Div. It has the advantage of being in the shape of a head, so would still just look like a face when joined as a tumor. And it has some nice spell like abilities. It is an evil familiar though, so that may be a deal breaker.
Thank's I like the idea of Kami Shikigami, it would fit that aspect. It would also be possible to get it via leadership more then likely, that way it could level up in some classes ect and have even more abilities as a cohort.

I notice Bloodline could be stacked with Emissary or Sage
I was thinking if i was try and make D with a hand similar to his.
urban/Cross blooded BloodRager with aberrant/undead lines would be good fit theme wise
then the hand could have sage/undead bloodline. I feel sage would kind of fit as the hand is kind of a note it all.
I was just looking for general idea and ways to do this. Vampire Hunter D was my first "mature" anime. It's not so special by modern standards, but it will always hold a special place in my nostalgia.

I quite liked the original anime version, even though it's definitely dated now. The newer one was interesting for the interaction dynamics presented, but overall I didn't like it as much.
D, long before Blade, was my inspiration for what a dhampir vampire hunter should be.

I don't know if anyone seen this kick starter yet. It is for vampire hunter D Comic, which is fully funded now, but it has stretch goals to get actual Vampire hunter D pathfinder Add on from Paizo. Maybe they will be and offical way of making D hand in the book from the stretch goals for this comic

I cant wait to hear some news for the add on stuff... do you know something else? we are at nov 13th and i heard nothing of it
nope I have not heard anything yet, about PDF, just that comic should be shipping soon. digital version of the comic is out already to my understanding, but I have not looked at that yet either, been way to busy to even look at it along with all the other kick starts I have backed with in the past year. They are fulling some of the physically rewards, like the sticker and patches ect, but nothing on the pathfinder add on.
edit: I just looked at the comments for the kickstarter, 7 days ago someone asked about it and they replied saying "the Pathfinder RPG supplement is not yet finished. Paizo is currently finalizing it and it should be available to backers soon. We'll post an update as soon as we have more information on it's availability."

Just wanted to update everyone, they released the vampire hunter D paizo pdf from kickstarter today. he is level 20, new hybrid class, that is a mix of slayer, and Inquisitor mostly, that is specialized vs undead. he is also non mythic, but it says that he his build at this point is based on the early novels, manga, and movies. he is also built on 25 point buy unlike normal npcs and D has big internet bonus to some of his stats. because of his lineage. As for his hand it is a large feat chain. Similar to the possessive hand chain. some of the feats are word for word the same, but it has a different name, and because of the name it open up to other feats that do competently differing things like dispel magic ect. There is also two arch types in there one for rangers to be lycn hunters and one for the spiritualist, and a lot more stuff.
