Basically, I completed 3 adventures with a pregen character and was given a sheet with the event code and # of Prestige points. I was told by the GM that once I register that I could apply the completion to my level 1 character. I have no idea how to do that. Any help?
The GM did not give me a character ID....is that the problem?

Opps. The GM should have given you a player number. Without it they can't report your playing.
Where did you play so the Venture Officers for your area can get involved.
Since you made it this far look into My Account and you will see Pathfinder Society. You can get a number there so at least you have one.

The chronicles will speak for themselves even if they are not reported correctly. Get your number, put it on the sheet with the character number, which will be -1.
Now you can "apply" that pregen character chronicle to a new first level character that you create. Each chronicle can be applied to a separate character or all the to same character. If you apply them all to the same character than that character would be 2nd level.
Take a look at the main page for Pathfinder Society. On the right hand side you will see Player Resources. Go there and read / download everything. That area gives you the basic information you need to play in PFS.
Of particular importance is the free to download Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play. That guide is the "bible" of PFS. Read it! Breath it! Love it! (Ok that is a little much but do read it at least once and keep it handy.)

Thanks, this actually applies to both my girlfriend and I who played. I do have a character # now. I have already downloaded and used the Organized play pdf, as well as purchased several pdfs to make my first character. I am still confused as to what you said "Now you can "apply" that pregen character chronicle to a new first level character that you create". Is this second level taken on faith? Would we bring the chronicle sheet to our first event to prove this? I don't see a way to add a chronicle to a character on the paizo site?

You should bring all of your paper chronicle sheets for a character anytime you plan to play that character. The records that matters are the paper chronicles. Recording things online is important for other reasons, but in terms of showing up at a gameday, if the GM needs to check something on your character, they'll need to see the paper chronicle sheets.
If you completed three scenarios with a pregen, you can apply all of those chronicles to the same character, which would make it a level 2 character to start.

Got it! Thank you!

Awesome.. Two new workers.. err I mean players!
In the Guide, read chapter 7, "Character Creation" and starting with "After the Adventure" on page 21 to page 27 "Beyond Level 11". This should answer most of your questions.
Your girlfriend should also have her own number.
What PDFs did you purchase if you don't mind me asking?
A rule of PFS is that you have to own the resource(book or PDF) in order to use it on your character. This would mean your girlfriend would also have to own the resource. However, PFS does allow for people who live in the same household to share resources. I just mention this to let you know. I am not saying she has to run out and get it right away.
I would advise against applying all 3 chronicles to the same character and start playing at 2nd. One of the really cool rules in PFS is that you are allowed to completely rebuild your character until that character reaches 2nd level. If you started your character at 2nd level and found after an adventure or two you didn't like it, you would be hosed and have to restart.
Finally, I see that there is already a thread about advise for a new PFS player and creating a character. Look that thread over as well.

As long as it is three different scenarios it can be applied to one character. If it is the same free rpg day mod each time you play it you give the credit to a different character.

I purchased the Advanced Players guide and ultimate magic pdf. My Girlfriend, her teenage son, and I all live together. Hoping to only purchase one set of pdfs/books as long as we sit at the same table. This is acceptable as I have read it?
I have experience with pen and paper rpg from 1st edition D&D. Got started again to play with the GF's son and he's yet to be hooked. He's a pokemon player and the cross over is a bit foreign to him. I'm gonna keep trying to sway him cause either way the GF and I have had a blast thus far, and plan on playing even he doesn't...lol.
Also, the chronicle that was done on RPGday was 1 campaign divided into 6 parts- Phantom Phenomena. We only completed 3, so that is actually only 1 Prestige point. All well and good.

Ok the one required resource is the Core Rulebook. Look at used books stores if want to try and find a used copy of one. Or get the pdf.
All 3 of you can use a single PDF but when the teenage son moves out he will have figure out the resources if he is going to continue to play.
1st Edition! Wow that is old school. I played 1st edition for a very short time before 2nd edition hit and played that for over a decade..
I have convinced my 14 year old to play. He seems to enjoy it.. Or he is just scoring points with dear old dad. lol
Have to make sure that I note three new workers.. err players are now available.....

Gary is mostly correct...
The Campaign Leadership has made rulings about 'family' ownership.
The short form being that a family/household is allowed to share PDF source to comply with the Ownership rules.

That said, you will still need a digital device or physical print out (of the pertinent sections) to use at the table as source.
