Dazing Assault

Rules Questions

Hello! ^^ I'm thinking on getting Dazing Assault when my character get enought BAB. But, while I'm reading it, some questions come to me and I'm not able to find the answers.

- Does the fortitude save apply to every succesful attack?

- If the fortitude save applies to every attack, is the DC based on the BAB of each iteritive attack?

- The save DC, is hight enought make that -5 to hit be worth?

Thank you in advance for you time and answers and sorry for my typos and mispellings.

Yes, no because your BAB doesn't change just your attack bonus and it depends on how reliably you can hit the enemy.

WOW that have been very fast! Thanks! ^^

The character is a Barbarian with 19 STR (20 at level 12), power attack and reckless abandon. He have 2 of 3 "Beast Totem" rage powers too (he is at level 7 right now, but I like to plan 3 - 4 levels ahead). I think he will not have a hard time trying to hit even with the -5 but I’m still not sure if the DC is high enough... And I don't know any wat to increase it.

- The DC is high enough to be "reliable"?

- There is a way to increase the DC from that feat?

Thank you in advance for you time and answers and sorry for my typos and misspellings.

DC: Depends. You have to be selective about it. Attacking a caster, etc? Daze away. Attacking an adult dragon? Don't waste your time.

DC Increase: Not that I know of...other than being a full BAB character. Having a higher attack bonus will mean more hits on iterative attacks, which mean more fort saves to possibly fail.

Perhaps ability focus.

The way the save DC is constructed it will be on the low side unless the campaign is very low wealth, non optimized.

Most saves are 10+1/2 lvl + stat bonus.

Typically stat bonus + 1/2 level will be higher than just level.

This gap will close at very high levels 18+, but it's definitely worse than the usual save construction, especially at the level this comes online. Fort save is also the best save for team monster.

If you use the feat mainly against caster types and take Ability Focus, you should be fine.

Thanks! ^^

I will probably not be able to get "Ability focus" because it is on the Bestiary so, I guess I have no way to boost that DC. Maybe I should try to look for ways to make the enemy bonus lower instead of increasing the DC.

Thank you everyone! ^^
And sorry for my typos and misspellings.

Taking the feat Cornugon Smash and getting a cruel weapon is a great way to lower enemy saves by making them shaken and/or sickened.

The other thing about this though is forcing a save for every hit. If you hit them 3 times that 3 trys to roll a 6 or higher. So it's a decent option for even against the good fort people.
