Hi guys,
I'm just trying to figure something out and could use some sage advice. The Human FC bonus for Brawler (aside from the standard HP/skill bonus) is +1 CMD against two combat maneuvers. I intend to spend a lot of time grappling foes, but I was just wondering - if I choose the CMD vs grapple does that apply where an opponent attempts to reverse a grapple too?
I would suspect that it does, but as this is a Society character I want to ensure that's the case.
Thanks for your time.

Oh, great!
I thought that you wouldn't get any bonus to CMD vs grapple when an enemy tries to escape your grapple. Since they aren't technically trying to grapple you.
You wouldn't get the bonus if they try to 'escape' as that would be Escape Artist. However, if they try to reverse the grapple, it does. Essentially this helps out where you are grappling something larger than yourself.

One could use the grapple maneuver to escape too. And more likely with strength-based creatures or creatures with no ranks in escape artist (escape artist also suffers the dexterity penalty for being grappled).

Ah Divvox2, you are the person I need to speak to then!
I'm really thinking of trying to exploit the synergies between Brawler and grapple; I'm correct in thinking that we can't maintain a grapple and Flurry of Blows until we have Rapid Grappler, correct?
James Risner's Dwight-inspired response is on point here. Rapid grappler only allows you to make an additional grapple check on a round you've successfully maintained a grapple (i.e. first round you achieve a grapple; second round you maintain (move action with greater grapple), rapid grapple (swift), and then make another grapple (move action with greater grapple) for effectively 3 hits, or two hits and a pin so it can't tear into you anymore.
Or my favorite: swift/free action to Martial Flexibility for Chokehold, Chokehold, move mook into friendly fog cloud/amongst friendlies. A good method of giving the middle finger to a disgusting portion of a fight your party isn't prepared for.
However, I'll warn you that if you always go into a fight and grapple/win it by yourself, you're taking the fun from other players. A few times doing that to the BBEG and I decided to stop grappling as much. I like to use it as a backup and disarm/trip (read: debuff) opponents so my team members can get in on the fun. If things go really south, I'll try to shut down the opponent with a grapple, but I haven't had to do that since level 8... it's almost always more effective to drop between 80-150 points of damage with a full round flurry (I love slimes because I can't miss and they usually can't grapple me [and I have deliquescent gloves]).
