Inner Sea Timeline Question

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Okay so in the Inner Sea World Guide, it shows the inner sea timeline which ends with 4711 (or 2011), it is now 2016, so has there been a timeline update since 2011, if so, where can I find an updated timeline? Any help would be of assistance. Thank you!

I don't think there's an updated timeline. APs are supposed to make the time line evolve but those are game dependant. Some games might have half of Avistan swallowed up by the worldwound, some others might have Varisia overthrown by resurgent Runelords and so on.

Tl, dr: the time line is left to GMs and players to update according to their games.

Okay, thank you.

the "default" is that the timeline progresses along with earth's timeline, and events published happen in Golarion's year of publication, unless stated otherwise. It is currently 4716. Because of this the more recent years are very spoilery, but you can view a incomplete version of the events on each year's Wiki page. Here's 4712 From there you can click to the others.

While there is no official timeline, resource books that have come out after 2011 have the current year listed on them. Then there are bits that say stuff like "So and so has been in charge of this town for 20 years" whcich means you can infer when that person first entered power by doing some simple math.

Off the top of my head, I recall the Andoran book retconned the night of Silver Blood to be in 4712 instead of 4707
