howdy folks, i was hoping for some help here, been awhile since i last played and just got asked to join a group, so i need some help making this character since its been ages since i built one.

we are at level three for now just assume basic gear, i have no idea on feats to take though out the levels so i need some help with that and with stats, we have a 82 point buy with 1 point = 1 stat so any help would be nice, thanks ya'll.


For stats I'd go before racial modifiers
10 str
18 dex
16 con
10 int
12 wis
16 cha

unless you feel comfortable with

10 str
18 dex
12 con
14 int
12 wis
16 cha

to get more skill points.

you could drop strength for con if you want more hp but you need to be able to carry your gear.

For feats it isn't even a question.

1st level Point blank shot
3rd level Precise shot.

Honestly though mechanically you're better off going normal gunslinger even with the catfolk wisdom penalty. The way the pointbuy is set up you would start with a 16 in your grit stat either way as you could pump it up to 18 by taking an 8 charisma and racials would put you at 16 and 10 respectively and going normal would get you better will saves. It's up to you though.


Mysterious stranger is a far better one-level dip before going into the class you really wanted (e.g. Sorcerer 6 into eldritch knight, or just go oracle and revel in the buffs, or go swashbuckler and use the gun as a backup, etc.) than it is as a base class. Their extra damage is so inferior to the standard gunslingers once they reach 5th level that it isn't funny.
