Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32

I assume this is the same event as last year with the special scenario and prebuilt decks? I'm going to try and get in with a group of friends but it seems unlikely as there are only 12 players per time. I expect it to be sold out before my wishlist gets processed.

If I'm correct, does that also mean that the text about requiring Class Decks in the event description is an error?

Just want to make sure I'm signing up for the correct thing - last year's event looked fun so I'm sad I missed it.

I'm bummed I missed it too! I'm also trying to get in.

I'm kinda bummed at the times they chose. I'll put it on my list, but probably not at the top of the Thursday nighters.

This was the highlight of GenCon 2015. I hope to play in again this year.

Where did they say the times? I'm trying to find this.

As they're Gen Con events, they're in the Gen Con event list: the qualifiers are currently Thursday night at 8 PM and Thursday night at 11 PM.

Apparently, though, Tanis is expecting this to change so there's also Friday morning slots.

Grand Lodge

btw, the spreadsheet keeps changing. Yesterday the Cosmic Captive special had a ACG event. This morning's download doesn't. Same with the Find Events. I think we're going to be scrambling throughout this until Sunday. (The CGM event number it was is no longer in the system!)

Not happy!

I couldn't find the Open in that list anywhere. Thanks for the confirmation they're there Parody.

In another thread Tanis mentioned that the Paizo folks are working with the Gen Con folks to change the times. If you haven't used the Gen Con event system as an EO or GM before, that normally means Derek (the Gen Con events coordinator) rejects the event so it can be edited by you and resubmitted. Thus it disappears from the system while that's being done.

I download the event lists instead of using the online system, so changes don't affect me immediately. I also keep different versions of the event lists so I can see what changed.

Practical upshot: check back on Saturday night. It'll probably be back. :)

(Sorry for the duplication.)

Grand Lodge

I do the same as Parody. I date the spreadsheet each time I download it so I can see and track changes.

Right now, the Open has two "placeholder" on Thur. The special has disappeared. Season of the Goblin! is now available at same times as the other three seasons.

Grand Lodge

I noticed that the two additional events on Thursday are not Paizo's events.

No Open event slots are on the event schedule. Luckily Season of the Goblin! has available slots the same times as the previous and current seasons. And the PFS Interactive Special #8-00 now has both RPG and ACG components we can sign up for.

Yeah, the two additional Thursday events are Rise of the Runelords (not Adventure Card Guild) as in the Adventure Path it looks like

Any updates on when the ACG Open will be added to the event list so we can get tickets?

It's listed now (https://www.gencon.com/events/99643) but specifically goes on-sale sunday at noon, just like event reg did last weekend.

5 and 8pm on thursday, 8 and 11am on friday.
The friday times are a shame - they fall within a single slot, so a normal event blocks participation in either. If the second slot had been noon or 1pm, that would have been much more flexible.
Thursday has almost the same problem, but lots of stuff starts at 7 or 8, so 5 isn't too bad. 3 or 4 still might have been better.
