Hello All,
I'm a bit confused with new research rules on pages 148-149.
There is a mention of 'primary researcher'. Does it mean that only one character is allowed to make research check and 2 other character can help him?
Or all characters can act as researchers and can make ordinary research checks independently?

You can have more than one primary researcher. There is just a limit of 2 secondary researchers per primary.
That means, the whole party can't band together and aid one person on a big check. But, it could split up with 2 primary researchers, each with two secondary researchers aiding, or everyone can attempt an independent check.
An early version of this system is used in a PFS scenario. In that adventure, only the highest research result in a given 8-hour period applied. I'm not sure if that limitation was intentionally removed or unintentionally left out from the final version, but a GM could decide based on their particular circumstances.

Not unless they have a way to counter mental exhaustion. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, only one 8-hour check per day.
Elves, for instance, don't need to sleep. But, they can't handle staring at books for even 16-hours a day. Only rather powerful magic or effects will allow more than the one check.
