cheapest way to replace a +3 weapon

Advice

My poor little imaginary dude had his +3 bow sundered by a surprise attack weapon chomping demon. We are a 14th level party and have found there are no 20th level casters in the world to cast a make whole for us. So, what is the cheapest way to replace the weapon (we are quite poor you see.)

Thoughts I had:
Buy a new one
limited wish
attempt to craft a scroll of a higher level and UMD it
go to the forums and troll advice from some one more clever than I

limited Wish can replicate a lower level spell without a problem.

You could also summon an efreet and bargain for a full wish.

If you can afford a one shot item to summon a planetar or high level azata, you can get a 14th+ level caster for a spell.

Note that if you have a spellcaster who can cast Make Whole, you can up the caster level with money and a spellcraft check by simply making a scroll at the level required. Not sure if that solves your problem, however. If the spell is on their list, they shouldn't need to make a UMD check to cast it.

How about: Find someone else who has one and abscond with theirs.

We don't, but that does bring to mind if I hire a wizard to craft the scroll, they may as well cast it for me. So thanks!

Switch to using greater magic weaon every day?

Just have your group's caster cast Greater Make Whole on it. Fixed!

Greater make whole can fix destroyed magic items or technological items (items at 0 hit points or fewer), and restores the magic properties of the item if your caster level at least equal to that of the item. This spell otherwise functions as make whole.

Yeah, grater make whole doesn't have the problem that make whole did where your caster level needed to be double that of the item.

Cast that once to get it un-destroyed and then use make whole to fix it the rest of the way.

Buy a rod of extend spell for it, too

Or just Mending.

That would work too

Mending won't work to restore the magical abilities if the item has been destroyed instead of just been given the broken condition.

I believe he's saying repair it with Greater Make Whole, then use mending to top it off.

1. Buy a bunch of bunny rabbits.
2. Prepare a lot of death knells.
4. Make whole.
