Are Rogue Talents printed after Unchained supposed to be legal for Unchained Rogues?

Got Your Back from Cohorts & Companions looks like a fun talent, but it was published after Unchained and so isn't on the list there. It's not clear what that means for newly published talents. I assume they work on both?

I believe that is the assumption, that any new talents are legal for both core and unchained rogue.

I was under the impression that Unchained Rogue had to be specifically mentioned (like in Blood of Shadows or Ultimate Intrigue) for them to be legal choices.

There's definitely an issue between the core and player companions getting synched, as I discovered with psychic spell options. Basically different teams work on them and they have different lead times for finalizing stuff and making them officially available for design space, so you can't take straight publication date as an indication that a given player companion could or did take into account new options from a RPG line book.

I'm not sure Xethik is right that's a requirement, but it doesn't seem to be the new standard practice to explicitly state they have considered the issue.

From what I can tell by reading the PFS Additional Resources/Society Unchained article, there are certain talents that are explicitly allowed for Unchained Rogue. Otherwise, the Unchained Rogue is limited to talents explicitly mentioned in Pathfinder Unchained.

Then there are ambiguously allowed Rogue talents. Blood of Shadows specifically calls out allowing the talents for Unchained Rogue, but the additional resource page for PFS does not say one way or the other.

Anyways, this isn't in the PFS Forum so perhaps no one cares about those rulings. I think in the case of a non-PFS game, it really comes down to the GM. Which people hate to read, I know. We could see what the original intent was from the authors (Mark Seifter?), I suppose.
