I just had to share this small part of our game this week. Our group just found the "silver raven" figurines at the end of In Hell's Bright Shadow, Part 1 and learned how to use them. One of my players immediately decided that, when using these "birds" to send messages to one another, it should be called "tweeting". I can no longer enjoy running this campaign for this group of players. My entire campaign is now ruined. That is all.

You could counter by demanding that the 'tweeting' only uses 140 characters.

Just a thought.

My players also made this joke.

My friends decided "screw this, we don't want to play this game because it's entirely too close to politics."

So you'll excuse me if a little in-joke over microblogs doesn't seem like ruining the game to me.

I hate Twitter so much!

But yes, be thankful you're not running Reign of Winter, with Let it Go a click away.

The real kick in the gutballs tho, I also work in a toy store.

I have the opposite problem; my friends love politics and all the parallels to real-life situations (YMMV). As much as I am enjoying the storyline, I could not have timed the start of the campaign worse if I tried.

Me too, RocMeAsmodeus. Well, assuming we ever actually START. Sigh...
